An independent member vacancy has become available on the Warwickshire Police and Crime Panel.
The Panel is looking for a committed and energetic person to serve a four year term as an Independent Member from approximately May 2017. The Panel has a duel role to both support the directly elected Police and Crime Commissioner for Warwickshire, and maintain regular checks and balances on their performance. The role of a panel member will be an important and demanding one, typically requiring one day per month of commitment, including preparation time. Independent panel members will be able to claim reasonable expenses, and all panel members will receive an induction and other appropriate training.
Please find here links to the Job Pack and Application Form, which contain greater details on the requirements of the role.
Completed application forms should be returned to:
Jane Pollard, Legal Services Manager
P.O. Box 9, Shire Hall
or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
The closing date for applications is noon on Wednesday 8 February 2017, after which a selection panel of current panel members will consider and assess all applications received. It is expected that short-listed candidates will be invited for interview in March 2017. Online applications will be live from 17 January 2017.
I would emphasise the need for applicants to be politically independent.
